Hi, guys. My name is Darrel and I am the head of the tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk. Thank you for taking your time to tune in and have a look at one of our products review videos. What we are talking about today is patio doors, the sliding type. You know the one you slide backward and forward, the plastic multipoint type sliding patio doors that you may have on your doors.

If your locks are starting to fail or if they're not working 110%, then maybe this is the type of lock that you may have in there. Now, I am just going to show you this handle because you may not necessary have this style of handle but it's the principle of the handle where you might have this little mechanism here and you can lift them, operate the mechanism, and you might have a key in here, etc.

But there are loads of different styles but this is quite a popular style of handle. I am just using this as a reference but if you got the sort of style of handle or similar, then the chances are you may have one of these particular types of sliding locks in the actual door itself.

There are two different types. What you may find stamped on these, you may find Mila stamped on there, you may find Yale stamped on there, Fullex may also be stamped on there, and also Paddock. There are a load of different manufacturers are using this particular type of inline patio-door locks. That's one of the important things is that if it's got names on it, then you might find it still this particular type of setup.

The key indents what you find is that there are two variants. This particular one here it got the four hooks as you can see here. It is a four-hook version and on this particular one here we've got six-hook, so you've got three at the top and three at the bottom. Those are the key indents between the two different types that are available.

Let me give some more indicators as well on here. What you find also is this little projection here and this is actually used as bit of a guide so when you actually slide your patio door in, this is used as guide to make sure that it sits in true into the frame. Also we've got the safety device here that means that you cannot move the handle until at such time as that gets pressed in. When that gets pressed in, then your handle will move, so what it means it safeguards all the keeps that these are going to be in the right position as you're sliding your door into position.

Some of the other key indicators as well is as you may notice, if I can pop this down as well is the actual channel this hole sits in what we call in the industry U-channel as you can see there. It's got a little bit of a lip on either side instead of it being a flat blade. The backset on these is 21 millimetres so from there to the actual centre there is 21 millimetres. The PZ measurement from there to the centre of your keyhole also is 90 millimetres so that there is quite unique measurement to this particular range.

There you go, guys. I don't that think there is much more that I can actually say about these particular ranges of sliding door locks, the inline sliding doors locks for patio doors, the UPVC style patio sliding doors.

But if there is a bit more information you need, or you are not 100% sure about something, look, by all means, give us a shout or speak to me on live chat if you want on our website, or by all means, pop us on the phone and have a chat with me or any of the guys in the sales team. They're all pretty knowledgeable on all this particular range of products. Either way, we would love to hear from you, and more importantly, we'd love to see you as a customer. From me, Darrel, and all of us here at LocksOnline, take care. Thanks and bye-bye now.
