Hi guys my name is Darrel and I'm with the tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk, thanks for taking the time to watch this video, the product we have here today is the SL16 Fullex crime-beater reversible latch deadbolt multipoint gearbox.
If you thinking to yourself well, how would I know what model I have. Thats ok, because here today we have a full multipoint lock and the reason why we have this here is to help you find some key indentifying marks to try and decipher what model you have.
These days guys you don't need to replace the whole multipoint lock, if it is just the centre gearbox that is broken, you are able to replace this component only, avoiding unesscary costs of replacing a whole multipoint system.
As you can see on this model (1:11) it has the words "SL16 Crimebeater" printed down the strip. Also up the top it has the police approved stamp, which indicates that this model is police approved and therefore highly secure. On the side of this gearbox you will also see a black holdback snib, which can hold back the latch allowing free access for some time. This model also comes with a Deadbolt although hookbolt versions of this type of multipoint lock are also available should you want that version.
But we are here primarily today to talk about the Fullex SL16 Crime-beater gearbox. These are the gearboxes here (1:57). What you will see that is distinctive about these is that they have two different type of followers, which allows different functionality from the outside to the inside. The PZ measurement of these two followers is 92mm and 62mm.
The Fullex SL16 multipoint lock comes in 3 backset sizes, 35mm. They also come in 45mm backset sizes which are typically used on wooden and composite doors. The largest backset of this model comes in a 55mm size. Also if you are looking to reverse the latch on this model simply take out the screw and turn the latch around.
