Hi, guys. My name is Darrel. I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk. Thanks for taking some time to tune in to one of our product review videos. More importantly, the product that we're having a look at today is a letter box or a letter plate, depending on how you want to call it. It's designed to work on UPVC doors, but listen, it's not only limited to UPVC doors. It can work on wooden doors. It can also work on composite doors. It's the Mila Welseal range of letter plates that are available now on the LocksOnline website.
Now, I want to open it up a little bit and get you guys to have a look at it in a little bit more detail. The idea is then is that you can actually see a little bit more about what's going on of the product and it extends that of what a simple photo can show.
From the outside here, this is the outside part, you've got that this is the aluminum. This is the silver finish. It's also available in a white finish, which this is white. It's also available in a gold finish, as well, should you want one. Now the actual hatch, the letter flap here is spring loaded so at least then, in our climates, we get a lot of wind, etcetera, then at least you're not going to have this flapping every five minutes and annoying you and your neighbours.
Inside then, you'll see it's got a bit of a neoprene sealer here as well around. Obviously that assists then in stopping the weather getting in. On the inside here, if you look on there, you've got the actual strip there that stops the weather getting in, as well. That stops the draft and so forth. All right? So that's what that particular part will do.
The way that these work is that they're designed, that once you've drilled your hole, you would then put these two together until at such time, they're both sitting on the outside of the door. You would used the screws then and you would screw from the inside through into that receiver there. This is totally adjustable here. And the measurements are on our website in regards to the thickness and the depth that these particular type of letter plates will work to.
One of the things that get asked a lot of is what size of the hole that needs to be cut out. I'll get you those measurements now. I'd be looking at cutting a hole of at least 225mm. I might give you a couple of mil all the way around there. And then a height then, I would say something in the region of maybe 45, 46mm. And that's going to sit in there then lovely all the way around and you'll be able to clamp the two together.
There you go guys. There's not really much that we can say about this. But at least then the video is going to give you a little bit more information than what a picture would. So that's the idea of it.
From me, Darrel, and all of us here at the tech team, thanks for tuning in to this video. Listen, if I haven't mentioned anything or you need to know a little bit more information about it, why don't you pick up the phone? We'd love to hear from you, and more importantly, we'd love to see you as a customer.
From me, Darrel and all of us here at the sellers team, the tech team, etcetera from LocksOnline, take care and catch up with you real soon. Bye-bye now. Bye-bye.
