KASP Laminated Steel Long-Shackle Padlocks

This is the long-shackle version of one of the most popular styles of padlocks, the laminated steel padlock.  These are hard wearing and offer a fair level of corrosion resistance too, making them a very common choice for gates, sheds and workshop cabinets etc.  

Protected by a zinc plating for additional protection against the weather, these padlocks are made with hardened laminated steel, providing the strength and durability required for most general-purpose applications.   You will also notice on these padlocks the 8 rivet-heads along the top of the body - this riveted body gives these padlocks extra strength against brute force attacks. 

To compliment the tough laminated steel body, the shackle is made from hardened steel to help protect against sawing and cropping attacks, and in addition to this, the shackle is secured by a double-bolting mechanism, so both sides of the shackle are locked down rather than just one side, adding superior strength against brute-force prying / torsion attacks.

Whilst a reasonably inexpensive solution, these padlocks offer impressive durability as well as their many security features.  And to round it all off, the cylinders used in these offer a paracentric keyway with anti-pick mushroom pins throughout, providing that extra bit of security against conventional lock-picking attacks too. 

Two keys are supplied as standard for each padlock - but you can order more simply by choosing the amount of extra keys required per padlock before adding the item to your cart. 

Important:  Any padlocks & associated hardware intended to be used in external settings should be properly maintained and lubricated to an appropriate level for the setting in order to ensure correct operation and protection from unnecessary weathering.
