Built from solid brass, these reassuringly weighty padlocks feature a closed-shackle design for exceptional securty against attacks on the shackle. This style of closed-shackle padlock should always be considered where possible, as it makes any attacks on the shackle very difficult - if not impossible - once it is secured onto a suitable hasp & staple, or indeed onto suitably sized chain links.
These closed-shackle versions of the premium brass range come in two sizes - 50mm and 40mm - both featuring tough hardened-steel shackles, either 8mm thick on the 50mm model, or 6.4mm thick on the 40mm model. To compliment these very respectable shackles, the padlock bodies are equipt with double-bolted locking mechanisms, ensuring that the tough hardened-steel shackles are well secured when locked.
When it comes to brass padlocks, there's so many choices out there with varying degrees of quality and suitability for different applications. This Premium Brass range of padlocks by KASP really sets the standard though. Boasting truly solid brass bodies, with various shackle types available, including these closed-shackle padlocks as well as open-shackle and long-shackle versions.
In addition to all of these premium features, these padlocks also boast one of the more complex paracentric keyways in the KASP range, which coupled with its internal anti-pick mushroom pins makes these premium brass padlocks increasingly difficult to manipulate, which is good news all round!
