These patio door spare lever sets have been designed to work in conjunction with aluminium doors or older style patio doors. These models are meant as a replacement item when wear or damage occurs or if you are just looking to replace them. These models come with the option of a 5mm or 7mm spindle thickness.
This replacement lever set has been designed and manufactured by the reputable lock manufacturer Fullex.
The spindle length can be cut to suit your application if the size exceeds your requirements. This is easily done with a junior/metal hack-saw.
Please note the 7mm versions do NOT come with a spindle.
Hi, guys. My name's Darrel and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a look at one of our product review videos.
Today we're going to have a look at a set of lever handles that are used for aluminium and some of the older style patio doors that are available in the U.K. One of the problems with this particular style of handle is that as the age goes and the mechanism starts to get a bit seized, etc., a lot of weight is actually applied onto this particular small handle here and when you're trying to operate the mechanism, etc., it has been known for these to snap off here. Obviously, then you can't lock or unlock your door.
So this is basically a replacement item. They're designed to work with these smaller patio door systems that were around back in the ‘80s and the ‘90s and so forth, but they're still available. We've got a set of handles here, and this may be, I'm not saying that this is the handle that you have, but this may be the type of handle that you may see on the patio door as well, or perhaps it may even have the insert for which you would pop this into or perhaps a Euro cut out if you've got a Euro cylinder on the actual patio door as well. Just wanted to get you some sort of idea and perspective on what this particular product is and what it looks like.
Now it comes as a kit. It comes with the handle on either side as you can see there. It also comes with a little Allen key to allow you to tighten those up. It's a little Allen key fixing just there, and allows you to tighten those up depending on what size you've got. Of course, this particular size here, you can cut it down to suit your particular aluminium door, if yours is a little bit narrower than this, but let me get you a measurement on that.
You're looking at there about 60 millimetres in there and they're both sitting flush there. So as long as your patio door is no more than 60 millimetres wide, then these are going to fit, no problem at all. They're manufactured by Philips. That spindle size there is 5 millimetres, is standard and available at LocksOnline. Not really much more we can say about this but sometimes a video will allow you to look at them in a bit more perspective and give you a better informed decision as to whether these are the actual product that you're looking for.
So from me, Darrel, many thanks for taking the time to have a look at this video. If you need to know a little bit more information, by all means, pop an email over to us or use the live chat on our website. We'd love to hear from you, and more importantly, we'd love to see you as a customer. That would be really good for us. So thank you very much and take care. We'll catch up with you real soon. Bye-bye now. Bye-bye.
