Hi, guys. My name is Darrel. I am head of the tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk. Thanks for taking the time to pop onto our video and have a look at this particular product in detail.
What we are looking at today is the All Active Round Exit Push Button that you can see here in front of me. The size of this is that of a standard pattress size. This is a kind of a universal size in the U.K., the measurements of which are on our site. But more importantly, what I want to try and discuss with you today is its operation.
As you can see here by pushing this in, in any way like that is what operates this particular type of push to exit button. It is a very, very durable push button, in as much as the manufacturers claim over a million cycles before it is supposed to fall apart. That is quite a lot of pushing over the years. In fact, I could do a bit more here.
Anyway, more importantly, if you are thinking of wiring this or wanting to use it, it comes with two sets of outputs here. We've got normally closed, so when the button is in this particular state there is a set of these wires is in the normally closed state. The other set is the normally open state. And when you actually press that, those then reverse, so the yellow would become normally open, and the blue will become normally closed etc., depending on which way you've wired it up. So if you want to apply a voltage or you want to release a voltage, then this particular switch has that functionality for you. I think that is a brilliant idea.
It comes a standard with a standard pattress box here. It comes as a green pattress box because green is the exit or escape or to get out of a place is the international standard colour. This is a standard thickness pattress box here, which I will give you a quick measurement of just in case you are aware of it or want to know, which 28 mm deep.
It comes with its fixing screws and it also then comes as well then with the Allen key. The way it actually works, and the way it actually fits into it is quite unique, in as much as if you could zoom in there for us, Lee, you could see there. What you would do is to put those screws into the holes and leave them slightly loose. The idea is you would push them then in there, and you would slot that into position. Then with the Allen key, if you look here on the front then, you will see that there are two little holes on either side here and with that Allen key then, that will allow you to get all the way in behind the switch and be able to tighten up the plate onto the back of the pattress. So that is how you actually go about fixing this onto the actual back box.
It is IP55 rated which is slightly showerproof. You don't want to stick it out with a hose pipe on it, etc., but it's okay for outdoor use with limited weather being attacking on it all of the time. The contacts are designed to work up to 30 volts AC or DC and can manage to switch up to four amps, which is quite significant for a switch these days.
So there you go, guys. There is not much I can say about this, it is a very well built product, it is very substantial and if you like it, if it's what you then hopefully then this video will give you a bit more information over and above what a picture will.
So from me, Darrel, and all of us here at the LocksOnline team, many thanks for taking time to have a look at this video. If there is something that I haven't mentioned that you think, "Oh, I need to know that," or, "What is that?" or whatever, you know, pop us over an email, pick up the phone, use our live chat online, we'd love to hear from you. We'd love it even more if you considered buying from us, thank you. But from me, Darrel, and all the guys here, take care and thank you very much and bye-bye.
