Hi, guys. My name is Darrel, and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and having a look at one of our product review videos.

Today we're looking at gate locks, and one more importantly, we're looking at Cisa. It's the 42111-30 gate lock. Here's the actual gate lock here.

It doesn't have to be used on a gate. It can be used on anything. It can be used on a wooden gate. It could be used on a metal gate. It could be used on a door. But what Cisa has done here, which is quite unique and distinctive is that this is latch tension as you can see. Now you might think to yourself, why would you have such a long bolt? The reason for that is because you don't necessarily know between the actual gate and the gate style or the gate post, what that distance is going to be.

So what Cisa have decided to do, is say well listen guys, if we can make the bolt long enough, then what we're going to be able to do is you can cut this to suit yourself. That's the principle. That's why it's so long. It's only there because if you got an inch gap between your gate and your gate post, then you can cut this off to suit your application. What you can also do as well, is that once you cut it off you can actually file it, so it actually acts as a latch. When the gate closes it will latch into your receiver plate that you would have on your keep or on your post. Therefore then every time that the gate is closed, it will automatically lock as standard. That's the reason for that. It goes back in and out there like that as when you got the key in.

To give you some idea as to how much trouble that is, there's 50 inches there of projection, there's 2 inches worth of projection there. When I actually push that in, that goes down to just over 37, so you're looking at round about the 14 mm projection there thereabouts anyway. So that's how far that that bolt goes in and out.

Of course, if your gate is there and your post is here, say an inch in, et cetera, then you cut a little bit off here. When you withdraw it back, it would actually throw into the key, no problem at all. What a good bit of thinking there for Cisa. You know, it's quite a popular product on our site. It comes as standard with a standard 35 by 35 millimetre cylinder and of course a set of keys, and it comes as standard as well with the screw.

Now just to give you a bit more information on this, the backset is the distance from the leading edge to the centre of the keyhole there, to the centre where the key would go in. That is standard at 30 millimetres. Okay. The actual case step there is 60 millimetres. It's a fraction under 60 millimetres. The actual forend length there is a 160 millimetres and the forend width there is 22 millimetres. I get the thickness of the actual block itself, plus it's 16 millimetres there.

There you go, guys. It's the Cisa. It's the 42111-30. Obviously, the 30 denotes that backset, 30 millimetres backset. Available on our website now. Listen, if there's something I haven't mentioned and you think, "Oh, I could do with that bit of information," or you need to know a little bit more, by all means, pop us over and email, use the live chat on our website. It's totally free, or you could pop us over and email. Either way, we'd love to hear from you, and more importantly, we'd love to see you as a customer. So from me, Darrel, and all of us here at LocksOnline team, this is that Cisa 42111. Give us a shout, we'd love to hear from you. Bye, bye now. Bye, bye.
