Hi guys, my name's Darrel. I'm head of the tech team here at
locksonline.co.uk, and today we're looking at some products and doing some
The lock that I have here in front of me here is the Cisa central door
lock. It's used for roller shutter doors, you know the big roller shutter
doors that you would find in industrial units, etc. It was designed that
with the use of a key in the centre there, you can turn the key and it can
throw a bolt into the frame on either side of the roller shutter. Not to
digress too much; it comes standard with two keys. The two keys -- it's
quite strange the way Cisa has done this -- because you get two keys that
work from the outside and then you then get a different key that can work
from the inside. The inside one won't work on the outside and the outside
one won't work on the inside. It's well worth you being aware of that.
When you actually use the lock, it's got a double-throw to it, so when
you've got the key in, it throws once and then it throws twice. It really
shoots the bolts quite a considerable distance into the side of the roller
shutter frame. I think without further adieu, we've got some measurements
for you guys. If you're actually thinking of replacing the lock, and you
want to make sure that this is the lock that you have in your door, we can
get you to have a look at some unique points on it.
For starters, if you can zoom in there for us, Lee, if you think it's Cisa
or if it's not Cisa, what you'll see there is it will be written 'Cisa' on
the actual cylinder there. That's quite important for you to know. The keys
also: if you have got the original keys, they will also -- if I can get
into that there -- they'll also have 'Cisa' written on the key as well.
Some people call it [pronunciation: 'see-suh'] but we call it
[pronunciation: 'chee-suh']. There you are.
Anyway, let's get some measurements for you. The case length is 155 mil.
The case height is 55 mil. The case depth is a smidgeon over 17 mil. At
this moment in time, these are in the locked position so they're the
furthest out, so I'll get you the overall measurement of that, which is 48
millimeters. Of course it will be the same on the other side. If I put the
key in and lock it, double-lock it down, that now sticks out 23, 24
millimeters. The diameter of that hole then, guys, for your information, is
7.66 mil, so I'd say 7 mil. The diameter of these holes here as well is
exactly the same as well, give or take. They're just over the 7 mil. There
There's not much you can really say about this, other than if you're
looking for a replacement for a roller shutter, hopefully the measurements
and all that I've given you here is a little bit more than what we may
have, and you're going to now see whether this is the one that you want to
replace or if this is the one that you fit in your door. From me, many
thanks for looking at the video. I hope it's been informative, hope it
helps you make a considered opinion. Feel free to visit us sometime again
