Prikka-Strip is a triple row of pointed cones, moulded from polypropylene with excellent UV weathering resistance. The points are staggered for maximum effect. Each strip is 500mm long, 45mm wide and 15mm high which delivers maximum deterrent but minimum harm. The unique double-hinge design allows it to be formed neatly on fence tops, pipes and other irregular surfaces.
CAUTION: SHARP POINTS
Colour Grey, Sold in Packets of 8 (4 metres).
Use great care when unpacking, fitting or cleaning this product.
Keep and fit away from reach of children
If the points are too sharp for your intended use, simply blunt them using a rasp/file or a coarse abrasive sanding sheet

Screwing/nailing Prikka-Strip can be screwed or nailed (rustproof) using the holes provided (more holes can be drilled if needed)
Gluing Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust.
Many glues and adhesives will not adhere to polypropylene - screwing or nailing is recommended (external quality butyl and solvent-based sealants/adhesives perform reasonably well). Silicone, bitumen, acrylic and water-soluble (nail adhesives are not recommended). The base of Prikka-Strip should be scored or roughened with an abrasive to provide a key for the adhesive
Trimming Trim to size using a suitable saw. Curves and bends can be formed by immersing in very hot water. Prikka-Strip can also be easily cut to a double or single row strip using the hinge grooves as a guide

Hi guys, my name is Darrel and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a look at one of our product review videos.
The product that we have here in front of us today is the all-famous Prikka-Strip. It's been available on our site for a considerable amount of years now. I remember actually putting this on our site, got to be at least what? Eight, maybe nine, ten years ago. We were probably one of the first to launch it into the U.K.
Of course, we've got loads of competition now, but still, it's still a steady product, it still sells really, really well. And it has a load of advantages. This is the actual packaging here. I've opened it up because we're going to take it out and have a look at it in a little bit more detail. It comes as standard 4 metre length, in this particular pack here. On the back here it's got loads of different types of applications. I don't know if you can zoom in and have a look at all of those there. It tries to give the customer an opportunity to see what type of applications that it can be used on.
Now, the idea of it, it's pretty straightforward and pretty simple. It's that if anybody tried to scale over your fence, etc., then . . . In the old days, I remember we used to put glass on the top, but unfortunately you're not allowed to do that now. It's for Health and Safety reasons. I don't know why, but there you go. They shouldn't be up there in the first place, as far as I'm concerned, but there you go. That's another story for another day.
You've got to now look after these people, a little bit, just in case they decide to break in. So this is a product that's been designed to try and deter people from trying to put their hands on top of your fence, etc., to pull themselves up and climb over the top of the fence, and into the back of your garden, or whatever.
If I get it out now, we'll have a look at one of these strips in a little bit more detail. Now, that's the actual strip there, as you can see. You know, you're not going to impale yourself on this. But of course, if you tried to grab that, these are quite sharp and if you try to grab it to pull yourself up, then you are going to put your hand into there. I don't know if I can actually . . . yeah, it's pretty sharp. I've got to admit, they'd probably feel a bit of damage trying to do that.
It comes with various fixing centres here, so you can just use nails and you can tap this into the top of all the head of the fence. You can put it in pairs together. You can put them together like that, or you can put them like that. It's entirely up to you how you wish to fit it on your particular type of application. These lengths here, it comes . . . one, two, three, four, five, six, seven . . . What does it come? One, two, three, four, five, six, seven and this is eight, so they are all half a metre each. I had to think then. Sorry, it's late in the day.
That's the actual product. There's not much more that can be said about it. But it does have a lot of different uses, etc.
From me, Darrel, I hope very much that that gives you a little bit more insight into Prikka-Strip, what its functionality, what its uses are. It has a deterrent value. Apparently cats don't even like it. They don't like walking across the top of the garden fences and gates, etc., because they don't know where to position their paws.
From me, Darrel, if you need any more advice, or you want a bit more information, pop online, we'd love to chat with you, and more importantly, we'd love to see you as a customer. That would be really good for us.
From me, Darrel, and all of us here at the LocksOnline team, thanks for your time and catch up with you real soon. Take care, now. Bye-bye.
