Hi, guys. My name is Darrel and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a look at one of our product review videos.

Today we're talking about a Garador garage door handle that's available on our website. We've decided to do these run-on videos to try to give our customers a little bit more information. To be honest with you, sometimes a picture and a bit of description don't really give. And to be able to get the actual product out in the open in my hands and show you around it and allow it to turn around gives you the better opinion as to whether or not this is the actual product that you need to for an item replacing or you're repairing or you're wanting to fit as a brand new project.

This particular locking handle is manufactured by the company called Garador. Quite the popular company in this country in regards to garage door handles and garage doors in general. This is the style of it there. It is quite a popular style. You probably drive around if you're a geek in locks like me, probably not, but you would have seen that this particular style of handle is quite prevalent in the UK.

So what it allows us to do here with this video, as you can see, is turn it around and show you exactly how it comes. And it comes standard with it's screw fixings there, as you can see. And also, you can see that the spindle on the back here is what we call a square profile and not diamond. Now there's a difference with particular types of garage door handles. Some of them when they sit in, when the handles sit in horizontal or vertical position, then the actual bar on the back either sits as a square or as a diamond if I were to turn it like that.

So it's well worth you being aware of that if you're thinking that you're looking at wanting to change. So this particular one here has a square spindle as standard. Now the length of the spindle, as you can see, is significantly long but you can cut this to suit your particular application should yours not be as long as this.

So it comes standard with two keys, as you can see there, and you can lock this particular handle in that position or that position, entirely up to you. Probably that's the most standard position like that. And to open the door you would probably rotate it like that, as you can see there. Okay. So it's actually in the unlocked state as we speak in this moment in time.

So what I'll do is that I'll use the steel ruler here to get some measurements. So if you're thinking that, "Oh, that looks to be one" let's double check to make sure you got the same measurements. So the width of the lock there, that there is 64mm. It's overall height right from the bottom and it's slightly chamferred so I'm going to take the chamfer into consideration as well. I'm there talking around about the 140mm mark there. Okay.

The fixing centres there, let me just try to get those for you. The fixing centres there are going to be somewhere in the region of around about 78 or 79mms there between those two fixings centres. And then the top fixing centres there, if I can get that measurement there for you guys, we're talking around about 45 or 46mm for those particular fixings centres there.

The actual length of that bar at the back, and I'm going to go from the faceplate not the projection there, but actually from the faceplate. So right in there, all the way at the far end there, I'm getting just short of 110. Maybe 108mm there, right from the back plate there all the way through to the end of the spindle. The actual spindle length itself is 90mm. The actual spindle width as well, might be well worth you knowing, is probably 8mm . . . 6, 7, 7mm. Yeah, 7mm. I'm going to be calling that 7mm. Let's double check just to make sure. I'm almost right on the money there. Yeah, it's 7.7. Okay, so let's put it 8mm there for the chamfers on either side.

So there you go, guys. It comes standard with two keys, as you can see there. But listen, if there's a bit more information that you need or you need a little bit more of advice on this particular garage door or any type of garage door that you might have, you know, pop a call over or use our live chat our website. You can speak to me or any of the guys. We're all pretty knowledgeable on all our products and stuff. So we're here to give you as much advice and information that we possibly can have. We'd love to hear from you. And to be honest with you, more importantly, we'd love to see you as a customer. So from me, Darrel, and all of us here at the Locks Online team, great to catch up to you and take care, we'll catch up with you real soon. Bye-bye now.
