Hi guys. My name's Darrell. I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk and thanks for taking some time to tune in to one of our product review videos. More importantly, the product that we're looking at today is the Tessi 6410 Central Roller Shutter Door Lock.
Here is the actual lock for your information. It's designed to fit on roller shutter doors, the type that go up and down. This is the type of lock that you may find in the centre or similar in the centre of the actual door. The idea is that when you put the key in, these bolts will actually turn and push themselves out and actually push a bar into the actual slide or in to the frame on either side. It comes as standard with two keys and for your information, we can get these also in keyed alike groups. Let's say for an example, you have a row of roller shutter doors. Instead of having a separate key for each one, you can have one key to fit them all. That's well worth knowing.
The keys will obviously work from the outside. This is what you would see from the outside. You'd see that disc there. Obviously the keys would work from the outside. There you go. That's one complete revolution and that throws those bolts back out. But of course also, it can also work on the inside there and that throws the bolt out that way. You may find if yours is relatively new or similar, you may find that there's a number still on the paper that's stuck on it. That's actual keyed alike group this particular lock comes with. It may help you if you need some spare keys. We might be able to, if the records are still available, cut to that. But don't chance it because I know sometimes the manufacturers change those codes to suit them and not necessarily you.
What I want to try to do is get some measurements for you because if you're thinking that this is the lock or it looks like that, everything is saying that it is the lock that we're trying to replace or you're trying to fit a new one, let me get some measurements so you can make doubly sure that this is going to fit in your door. The actual case itself, the length of that there is 154mm. Its height there is just a smidgen under 55mm. I'll get to its fixing centres as well because that's quite important. I'm going to put those fixing centres there at 37mm and those fixing centres across there to there, I'm going to put those at 136mm.
Also, these here from the face to the centre of that pin there they stick out under normal unlock conditions. They're sticking out there 32mm from there to there. If I was to throw the bolt over a complete revolution, take the key out, that then becomes 57 maybe 58mm. It comes out quite a distance there. There you go guys. That's the range of, well this is the 6410 centre roller shutter door lock.
For your information, if you want to know if it's a Tessi or not it will actually say Tessi. I don't know if you can zoom in there but it should say Tessi actually on the actual cylinder itself as well if you can see that there. If you're thinking that you're replacing it or your keys are lost or whatever, hopefully that will give you insight as to who made it. There you go guys.
