Hi, guys. My name's Darrel. I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk, and thanks for taking some time to tune in to one of our product review videos. The product that we have here at this moment in time is the Walsall ACE Seven Lever Safe Lock. Now this particular lock is available, well, it can be used on safes of course and also gun cabinet locks, but it also could be used of loads of multiple applications and so forth. So it has a load of different types of options, a load of types of versatility. So let's go through a few of the key features of this particular type of safe lock and hopefully you can then decide whether or not this is the one for your application.
Now, if you look at this lock here in general, as you can see here we've got this T here, which means that this lock can be actually sitting in that position there and you can put the key in that way. Okay. You can actually have it in the down position and put the key in there like that or you can actually have it in the side version like that as well, which will allow you to put the key in like that.
Now, its available in two different type of locking versions. It's either you can take the key out all the way after you unlock it or the key retaining version. This is the key retaining version, which means that when you actually put the key in and you go to unlock it, it keeps the key in. It won't allow you to take the key out until such time as you throw the bolt back over and that allows you to take the key out.
Now, it comes with seven levers as standard inside and the basic case measurements and so forth is on our site. But what I wanted to try and do is give you a little bit more information in regards to certain fixing centres and so forth. So with my vernier gauge let me get some measurements of these fixing centres for you because if you're thinking of fitting this or you want to be replacing it, you want to make sure that the centres work out really well for you. The centre there is 44 millimetres, so that's from centre to centre there.
And the fixing centres here is . . . I'm going to put it as being around 65 millimetres, maybe slightly less at 64 millimetres. So those are your fixing centres. Also on the bolt as well you'll see is that there is two threaded holes there that allow you . . . sometimes you might have a plate that's actually fixed onto this bolt that moves backwards and forwards. Well, there's the fixing holes there and just to give you some sort of idea of their centres, because you might need to want to use those, we're looking there at 15 millimetres.
Now, the bolt projects. If I get you a bolt projection it might be worth you wanting to know that, I got a bolt projection there at about 11, maybe 12 millimetres, 12 millimetres probably. So there you go. So it has the ability to be fit to multiple positions depending, because of this T type star key configuration, and it comes as standard with two keys as standard. We can, under special order, have these keyed like for you in pairs in you want to, and of course we can cut extra keys as well should you need to do so.
So there you go, guys. This is the Walsall ACE Seven Lever Safe Lock. It's available on LocksOnline.co.uk.
