My name's Darrel, and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk.
And today we're looking at the temporary fire alarm sounder units. These
are designed for temporary installations in buildings, construction sites,
events where you've got tents or marquees, etc. where you need to raise
alarms for people in the event of fire to let everybody know that there's a
possibility of a fire.
They're very, very easy to fit. They come with their own fixing instruction
on the back here, a couple of fixings, too, whatever, to a panel or to a
wall. It's entirely up to you. You open them up and inside you will see
that there's a weather proof enclosure here which has a nice seal on this
here, and inside here is where you actually fit all the batteries. You'll
have a flashing zenon tube here, a red glow inside here. This is the
sounder, and also there's connections here which allows you then to
interconnect one, two, three, four and continue going on with them. Like I
say, it's ideal for an event or a temporary event, where you need to have
some sort of system in place to raise an alarm in the event of a fire. That
clips on there like that, and this would obviously then clip in here like
that, and we push down and that would be the system already set up there
So, a little temporary, ideal, quick and easy to fit. Raises the alarm.
It's about a 120 decibel alarm so you'll hear it quite loudly, but if you
need more, you can have more and they can be interconnected. [end audio
[new audio 00:01:43] Hi and welcome back to LocksOnline.co.uk with the
reviews. Here we are again with the temporary fire alarm unit that can be
used for temporary applications and so forth. We've decided to go to a
little stage further and actually fit the batteries in for you so you can
actually hear as best as you can on a VT and also see the strobe flashing.
We also have a little LED here which is designed to randomly flash to
indicate that the system is live and that it's working correctly. So simply
to set this little baby off, all we need to do is to press the button. So,
that's what I'll do now, is I'll press the button and there you go. You can
see the strobe is flashing at the bottom. It's very, very loud, and to
reset it or stop the alarm all we need to do is to turn and there you go,
that's the alarm stopped.
It's very, very simple, a temporary fire alarm unit that's designed for
temporary applications here at LocksOnline.co.uk. Many thanks for your
