The Tessi 6440 Ultra Narrow shutter lock is suitable for use on narrow shutters, with a depth of only 10mm. This is quite a unique lock for shutters so if you're looking at similar on your garage or roller shutter door, and find it is 200 x 30 x 10, with a 12mm cylinder projection, it is most likely the Tessi 6440 lock you have fitted - or indeed the Baton equivalent now being sold.
Deadbolt is locked or unlocked by key from either side.
This lock made by Tessi is no longer available to us, but we have the lock with the same footprint manufactured by Baton available and will be supplied if ordered
Our product specifications are given in good faith but can be subject to manufacturer change without notice. Should an attribute be of essense to your purchase, please feel free to contact us first for confirmation.
Hi, guys. My name's Darrel. I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk, and thanks for taking some time to have a look at one of our product review videos.
The product that we're reviewing today is the Tessi 6440 Ultra Narrow Roller Shutter Door Lock, and here is the actual lock here. Now, of course, one of the advantages with having a look in on a video is that if you're thinking of having this to replace one that you may have, at least now you can actually see it in the flesh. And I'll go through some of the operations, etc., and I'll get some quick measurements and so forth for you so, if you're thinking that this might be the one that's on your door, then at least then, hopefully, this video will give you a little bit more detailed information.
Now, it comes as standard with two keys, as you can see there, and the keys will operate from both sides. So if I put it in there like that, there you go. That's it from the outside. And from the inside here, I can then bring it back in as well from the inside there. So that's it there. Okay? So that's the actual lock itself. It's available to differ so it can have unique keys, or we can actually get it supplied under special order where they're all keyed alike. So if you have got a load of roller-shutter doors that you want this particular type of locking solution on, we can actually get them all keyed alike for you. So one set of keys will fit them all and it will make it a lot easier for you locking up at night.
So, without further ado, let's get some measurements for you to see if, to give you a bit better idea. Let's have a look at the case itself now, for starters. So the case there, overall, is 200 millimetres. So from there to there is 200 millimetres. The projection here off this actual cylinder, the projection there, comes out to 12 millimetres. That's how far that sticks out there. So if you're bolting that into your roller-shutter door, that's how far that will stick out. And the diameter of that there is 22 millimetres, 21.5 millimetres across there.
Now one of the important things as well is what are the centres there, those fixing centres. So I'll see if I can get you a measurement on that as well. This is going to be, roughly - because I can't really get onto it bang on, but it's 225 millimetres from there to there, those fixing points. If I was to pop the key in there and throw the bolt to its lock position . . . I'll see if I can get a measurement on that for you guys, just in case you need it. And we're now at 285 millimetres, thereabouts. Okay. That's 285 millimetres there. All right?
So, yeah, there's not really much more we can say about this particular lock. I'll give you a width measurement there and the width there is 30 millimetres, that's how wide that is there. It comes with some fixing assemblies as well as standard. And, like I say, it's available with us on LocksOnline.co.uk.
So, you know, if you're looking for a roller-shutter door lock, or your lock is broken and you're not quite sure as to whether or not this is your lock, at least now, hopefully, this video will give you a little bit more information for you to make an informed decision as to whether or not this is the lock suitable for you.
But listen, it really doesn't matter if you're not 100% sure because pick up the phone, have a chat with us, use the Live Chat that we have on our website, or, by all means, pop us over an e-mail or a couple of photos of your door and we'll try and work with you to work out which lock may be suitable.
But from me, Darrel at the . . . The head of the tech team here, and all the guys here at LocksOnline, many thanks for taking the time to have a look at this video, and we'd love to see you as a customer. So, from me, take care. Thank you. Bye-bye.
