Winkhaus Cobra Replacement Latch & Deadolt Gearbox (Split-Spindle Operation)

Available in three backset measurements of 35mm, 45mm and 55mm, these gearboxes are a direct genuine Winkhaus Cobra replacement, so if you have a failing Winkhaus Cobra multipoint lock, these would be a straight-swap to fix your broken Winkhaus mechanism. 

It is important to note that this is the replacement centre gearbox only, which does not come with the full length locking strip with the hookbolts you'd have on the existing lock.  This unit replaces the central locking mechanism only. 

With split-spindle operation, this allows for the inside and outside handles to operate independently, and not as a singular action that works the same on both sides of the door.  The case is 185mm across all three versions, with the case depths being 50mm, 60mm and 70mm dependant on the backset measurement selected.  These have standard 92mm PZ centres (the distance between the square follower and the centre of the keyway, measured from the centre of the follower to the centre of the top (rounded section) of the euro profile.

Identification

Most genuine Winkhaus Cobra locks will have markings and numbers stamped on them - but the difficulty is most will look at the markings on the locking strip and not on the gearbox itself.  It is important to check the part numbers on the gearbox, not on the lock case!

These part numbers should be 4941733, 4941734 or 4941735 depending on whether you have the 35mm, 45mm or 55mm backset model.
