Hi, guys. My name is Darrel, and I am the head of the tech team here at LocksOnline. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and watch one of our product review videos. Now we're putting these short, little videos together to be able to give you, our customers, the opportunity to see the products that we have to offer in hopefully a little more detail, and therefore then help you make a bit better of an informed decision as to whether or not this is the particular product that you are looking for.
So today I want to show you the LocksOnline universal set of UPVC door handles that we have on our website. Now this particular range of handles give absolutely fantastic degree of flexibility. We have the brass version here in front of us, but there are other finishes as well. There's a chrome and a white finish, etc. Now, one of the distinct advantages with this particular type of handle is that it has the ability to be adjusted. So it isn't a matter of turning around and saying, "Well, will these measurements be right for us?," because this particular handle here can actually be moved up and down on a rail on the inside the lock, as you can see.
So it doesn't matter what your PZ measurement is between here and here. You can actually find that it should be able to fit your particular door. So the industry standard 68, 92, 72 millimeter will all fit on this particular handle, so that's absolutely brilliant. If you are thinking about wanting a particular handle and you're not 100% sure about this, you're not 100% sure about that, maybe you might be 100% sure that this particular handle is going to fit you. Now some of the other key and unique products that this particular handle has as well is the ability to put an Allen screw on either side to be able to clamp this particular handle onto the actual front of the door, making sure it's a lot more secure than the normal style.
It also comes then with some packers that you would break off. So once you've actually got your size of the handle that you're looking for, you can slide those in there to stop it from moving again. Now one of the most critical thing with this particular type of handle is to make sure as to whether or not it will actually fit your door. So not only do you need to be consider yourself in regards to PZ measurements, but you also need to make sure that whether or not you can actually screw a fresh hole through to the other side at the bottom of the lock and also at the top of the lock. So therefore, because how a handle technically floats backwards and forwards, the only fixing datum that we have here is from this cylinder here.
So the easiest way for me to try and explain to you is that you know what this particular position is on your door and on your lock. So if I was to get this ruler here and measure from the top of the euro cylinder to the top fixing, that would give you an idea then as to how high your lock case is and whether or not he'll pass it. So up there is 200 millimeters to the actual top fixing there, as you can see. So as long as your gearbox from the top of your cylinder is less than 200 millimeters, then you know that you're going to get yourself a top fixing. And then similarly, at the bottom here, say the bottom of the cylinder there, you're looking at round about 25 millimeters.
So again, if the bottom of your lock case doesn't exceed 25 millimeters, then you know you are going to get your screw into the bottom below the lock case as well. Those are the two critical points in that respect. Because this handle is slightly oversized also, therefore then the old screw holes or the old holes that have been drilled there will probably be within this handle, so it won't be shown. The actual width of this handle as well is about 30 millimeters there, as you can see, and the overall length, and that's the actual physical overall length there, is merely pushing 290 millimeters there overall, so quite a long handle in that respect.
So there you go, guys. It comes with its screw fixings. It comes with some spring cassettes as well to stop the droopy handle syndrome that is common with UPVC doors of the older style, and of course, then it comes with its fixing screws as well and, of course, is available in a whole myriad of different finishes as well. So if you are thinking that, "Oh, I need to change my handles. I'm not 100% sure.," by all means, please make that decision easier for you to choose. But if you need a bit more info on this or any of the products that we have, pop us over an email, use the live chat that we have, or simply pick up the phone and give us a call.
