Hi, guys. My name is Darrel and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a quick look at one of our product review videos. Now, we put these short videos together to be able to give you, our customers, the opportunity to see the products that we have to offer, and hopefully a little bit more detail. And it'll allow me to explain the product, perhaps, a little bit further than maybe just the dry bit of descriptive text may have to offer.

So, today I want to show you a product manufactured by the company, Banham. I mean, Banham, renowned as being world class leaders when it comes to security products. This particular product here is designed to work in conjunction with a sash window, a wooden sash window. What it allows you to do is to be able to lock the actual sash window and also allow you to open up, to a certain degree, to allow you to have a degree of ventilation, as well.

This particular set up that we see here actually has the two stops. There's the stop number one, the stop number two position, and then that's the actual lock itself, as well. Of course, you would need to have the key, as well, in which to work these.

Now in the actual set up here, if I was to actually hold that up there like that, and perhaps you'll be kind enough to zoom in a little bit, it actually explains here. If you can imagine those are the two sashes, there, sliding up past each other, you would actually position one of these at the bottom, close to the actual, between the two sashes, and that's your actual lock, then, to stop them from opening it. But you could also then put another one a little bit further up there. So it will allow you, then, to have a degree of ventilation. So, you know, that's the way that they are designed to work.

So, when you actually want to lock the window off with the key, you would take it out of the top one there, pop it into the bottom one there, screw it in tight, and this would actually rotate then. You can't get it out unless you use the key. If you need a bit of ventilation, you would then, obviously, take it out of that one there, put it into the top one, and that will allow you, then, to open the window up a little bit more. So that's the basic principle. That's the application there. On the back, also, it shows it in a little bit more detail, etc., in the actual operation, then, on how you would actually screw the lock into the actual sash as you can see there.

Now, the actual product, itself, as you can see, what you would effectively do is you drill yourself a hole into the actual sash and then with a flat bladed screwdriver, there, which you can see on the end, here, you would then screw these actually into the actual sash window. Whether it be hard wood, or a soft wood sash window, you'd be able to screw those in really, really tight. And therefore, then, eventually then, you would then pop that into there and that would allow you then, to be able to screw those in, and stop the actual window from opening.

Now, certain people say that they should have two, one on either side. You can decide depending on how wide your particular window is. So, you know, the wider it is, there comes a degree where you might turn around and say to yourself, well, it can be twisted or distorted slightly. So you may end up wanting to have one on either side. That's, that's a personal choice, as far as you're concerned. So, but that's the basic principle. That's how they actually work.

Now, Banham, as you know, have been around for a significant period of time. They're well respected as a manufacturer of high graded quality security products. So, you know, LocksOnline wouldn't have any hesitation whatsoever in recommending this particular lock for your sash windows. There's a degree of quality here and pedigree, because that's one thing that you do get with Banham is quality and a pedigree of security products.

So, you know, if this is the product you're looking for, then great. But listen, if you need a bit more information, on this or any of the products that we have, by all means, pop us over an email. Use the live chat that we have, or simply do it the old fashioned way and pick up the phone and give us a call. Either way, we'd love to hear from you, and more importantly, we'd love to see you as one of our customers. So for me, Darrel, and all of us at the team, thanks for taking the time to tune in. I hope to catch up with you real soon. Take care. Bye-bye.
