This is a replacement gearbox for an original Kenrick Sabre UPVC window lock. This particular model has a bladed bolt which throws out from the centre of the Kenrick Sabre UPVC window lock gear box. The fixing centres for this model are 42mm and its follower accepts an industry standard 7mm spindle.
UPVC gearboxes are usually one of the first components in a window lock to fail due to the level of stress they have to deal with as they are the centre point of the locks functionality.
Kenrick developed the Sabre quite a long time ago, the rods have been discontinued but the gearboxes are still available.
On this model the main indentifying mark is the Kenrick and Sabre label stamped onto the body of the Window lock gearbox itself.

Hi guys, my name is Darrel, and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a look at one of our product review videos.
The product we have here in front of us today is an old girl, and she has been around now for a while. It's designed for a secure box, that's designed for UPVC windows. It's manufactured by a company called Kenrick. It's the Sabre Lock version.
Like we said, the actual bars that would actually be fitted on these that go on either side have been discontinued, but we can still get hold of the actual set of gear boxes. Mostly, if a window lock was to fail in any way, it's normally the gear box that normally goes. So, being able to get these as a replacement item is still really good in the UK.
Some of the key identifiers, it's quite unique in its layout. I don't know a lock that has a similar footprint as this, but it also has the name actually stamped on there, Kenrick Sabre Lock as you can probably see.
The functionality on this is quite unique. As much as that, when you actually lock the gearbox, it actually throws this blade up, like that, into the actual frame as well as popping the bolts off on either side. The actual centres here start at 42 millimetres. In the industry, that's pretty standard these days. So any type of bar handle would be able to fit on there.
It's designed for UPVC multi-part window locks, etc. And also the follower there, is the standard seven millimetres size.
So there we go guys, there's not much we can say about this particular lock. It is very unique in its design, and if you have this particular type of lock that's still fitted on your window, then at least now you know you get it replaced if you need to do so.
And listen if there's more information you need or if there's a little bit more measurements that you think, "Will I need to know that measurement?" or, "How does this move?" or, "How do I get this to work?" etc. Look, pop us over an email, use our live chat on our website. Either way, we'd love to hear from you and, more importantly, we'd love to see you as a customer.
So from me, Darrel, and all of us here from LocksOnline, take care. Hoping to catch up with you real soon. Bye-bye now.
