Hi guys. My name's Darryl; I'm Head of the Tech Team at LocksOnline.co.uk.
Today, we're going to have a look at an electric release from Clarke
Instruments; this is the rim version. It's the 925 Electric Release
designed for rim locks. It's also designed for the new range of rim locks
that are out there, that are auto-deadlocking, as well. One of the
advantages is that we've got this chamfered edge that allows the
deadlocking snib to hit against the base which then deadlocks the snib.
Clarke Instruments, what can I say? [inaudible: 00:40] electric releases;
absolutely stunning quality built out of solid brass. Everything all about
it, it oozes quality. One of the advantages if you were to invest in a
Clarke release is they have the advantage of having a full-service team, a
full-backup team behind them. If any parts start wearing out, start
failing, or there's damage; if it's repairable, you can actually get your
electric release repaired.
This particular version is available in 12-volt AC or DC in failed-locked
or unlocked, and it also is available in a 24-volt version should you want
it as part of a fire alarm system. Clarke Instruments are the epitome of
strike releases and electric releases in the UK; absolutely phenomenal
quality, can't vouch for them enough.
This particular one is the failed-unlock version where you can see the
actual latch [inaudible: 01:34]. I don't know if you can zoom in on that
for us. Even that is just a solid block of brass; absolutely stunning
quality. There you go. This is the 925 Electric Release from Clarke
Instruments, designed for rim applications. Thank you and good night.
