From in your home, access control is a must for anybody who wants and needs ease of living. I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be to struggle to open and close my front door to my home. This shouldn’t be a struggle for any disabled person, whether they live home alone or live with family. It’s time for the all disabled people in the UK to be able to come and go as they please!
How will this benefit me?
Okay so if the resident is in a wheelchair, chances are a ramp may have been installed to the front door. So why stop there? While leading up to the ramp the resident can press a button on a remote control fob that will automatically unlock and open the door ensuring the resident a swift entry into their home without delay. Or maybe a person who has limited movement and may not be able to walk far could open and unlock the door with a remote control fob, allowing the door to open wide and stay open for up to 90 seconds. This will ensure the person entering the house does not have to rush to get in. Every application is different however and some may feel they would rather a keypad or even use an intercom system. Operations differ from person to person and the guys at Locks Online care about the right solutions for you. Tailor made for your specifications!
What are the different parts I need for this system?
Don’t be put off with the technical side of these access control solutions. In all, it’s a very easy concept once everything has been set up and even better, it’s a one push button action to control the whole system. Below I have listed the items you will need if you are looking to change an existing door locking solution in your home.
Easi Automatic Opener – This is the unit that sits on top of the door. It comes with 2 arm options depending on your application. This item will be the ‘brain’ of the access control system and sits neatly on top of the door frame. The unit controls the system and comes as part of a kit.

GUA Opener – This is the whole locking solution that sits in the side of your door. It has 3 latch to deadbolt sections and an extra deadbolt should you need extra security. The extra deadbolt is manually operated with a key however the other 3 latches turn to deadbolts when the door is closed ensuring maximum security. These come in different sizes again, according to your application.

The keep pack – This part sits in the frame of the door so the latches have something to go into. This is a unique keep for the GUA Opener.
Door Loop – To keep your cables nice and tidy
Handles – This is so somebody can manually open the door but please note, you will also need the fixing plate which allows the outside handle to stay stiff. This is so the door cannot be opened from the outside via a handle.
Power pack – So you will need something to power up the system.
Is this the right solution for me?
Depending on your application, this system suits most domestic use. If you looking for ease of living, convenience and high security, then this system would be the best option for you! Remember, not everybody is the same so some applications may be different, for instance if you would prefer a keypad. Packages should be tailor made for you or your family member to ensure the solutions are suited for them and them only. Prices for this solution can vary, starting from around £900* again, depending on the application for you.
