In this guide we look at the GU A-Opener auto-locking multipoint, but this may apply for others too.
Reversing the top & bottom deadbolts
Step 1: Trigger the deadbolts so they are fully extended (locked position).
Step 2: Undo the grub-screw through the back of the deadbolt case using a Size-4 Allen Key (this may be tight!)
Step 3: Once completely unscrewed, remove the deadbolt and rotate it 180° to the opposite handing.
Step 4: Secure the deadbolt back into the new position by securing the grubscrew once again using the Size 4 Allen Key.
Reversing the centre gearbox latch
Step 1: Release the latch by pressing & releasing the retainer using a flat-blade screwdriver in the small slot in the gearbox. A firm push & release should cause the latch to pop out of place.
Step 2: If done correctly, once the latch has popped out of its socket, you can simply swivel the latch around 180°.
Step 3: Once rotated, simply push the latch back into place until you hear a 'click'. If done correctly, the latch will now retain in this position and function as normal.
