Keeping one step ahead in the industry, Locks Online attended the IFSEC Exhibition this year to ensure we are up to date with the latest ‘must have’ security solutions for any home and business.
So last week, three of the Locks Online team headed up to the IFSEC exhibition in London. We like to keep ahead in the industry so decided it was a must to attend the largest event for security solutions. With over 30,000 visitors walking through the well promoted entrance, it’s safe to say that, not attending IFSEC this year would have been a very big mistake for both ourselves and more importantly, our customers! From access control and biometrics, the technology on offer was outstanding and the great part was seeing thousands of people get together and enjoy the latest hardware solutions on show!
Darrel had decided to ask Jack (web and business developer) and myself (marketing) to head up to IFSEC with him to experience, for the first time, the biggest international security exhibition for this year. Giving us the opportunity to meet some of our current manufacturers and make relationships with others, I couldn’t say no! Being in South West Wales, the IFSEC exhibition is hardly a stone throw away! Infact it was a 5 to 6 hour drive away and if that wasn’t bad enough, I was left in the back of the car, listening to the guys talk about all the great (and not so great) cars that were on the road that day! To be honest, experiencing London traffic was enough experience for me for one day however pulling into the Excel proved to be an easy, organised task.
Walking into the building, the entrance was huge! People were suited and booted, running around on phones and tablet devices. We were given a program with a map so we could find our way around and see what manufacturers were showcasing their brand new technology! The program itself is 224 pages thick, full of 600 exhibitors and manufactures, some of which, we couldn’t resist going to say a usual hello too!
Walking around the exhibition we came across AES. Some of you may know that we have some of our access control with this manufacturer, so we wanted to poke some more as to what their future products hold. Brand new designs and great functions are on the agenda for AES from extra LED lighting to smooth and sleek finishes to their products. Quality products are the most important feature for us so experiencing holding these in our own hands, was a great way of showcasing the new range coming soon. AES have some great products lined up so keep an eye out over the next few weeks to see if we have any new products lined up!
Across the floor we bumped into EVVA who’s stand was branded fantastic but not overpowering. The staff there knew the in’s and out’s of each product that was being displayed and a great presentation of high security keys was well executed. The new products such as new access high security keys, and dynamic keyless entry will be a huge hit within the next few weeks and complement our existing EVVA Security range very well! Taking interest with some of this new technology, keep your eyes peeled for possible new high security products from Locks Online.
One of our favourite stands was that of the guys at Simons Voss. Classy, elegant and sleek, meeting the team face to face for the first time felt like I had known them for years! The new state of the art access control systems illustrate quality, new technology and maximum security. The Simons Voss team stole our attention with the great range of intelligent security solutions not only with the modern smooth finishes, but with a stride ahead, future intellectual technology. It’s important for us to keep up to date in the industry and Simons Voss most definately have the solutions! Heading back out to the playing field with our free apples, it was time to create new relationships with new manufacturers!
Biometrics seem to be a something that people are already aware of however most biometric systems are used in corporate companies and high end business. Future technology allowed us to see an insight on how biometric security solutions can be used for the everyday household. We met up with a handful of different manufacturers, all with unique niche products to suit everybody from family homes to workplace office environment. Maybe Locks Online are heading down this route too? Something to keep checking for!
Meeting manufactures across the exhibition, much was explained about new technology such as ZigBee and Zwave. This is something we are very excited about! Reps were explaining the different options and functions that this new technology can do for the everyday person and quite frankly, I wanted a system to go home with. Doing our research, it seems these new network systems are the must have in the home. Big in America at the moment it is slowly creeping into the UK but before it does, Locks Online want you guys to see the benefits. If this is something you’re interested in, it’s a must that you come back in the next week or so where hopefully, we will be able to offer a large insight into this future system!
Creating new relationships with new people, staff and manufactures was a huge matter for us. We like to ensure that our customers are getting the best top of the range technology or products when thinking about security solutions. We have now come back to the office with lots of future product booklets and paperwork and we can’t wait to show you all our new solutions. Keeping ahead in the industry, new relationships with new manufactures has opened our eyes to the possibilities that we can offer you!
