LocksOnline Wiring Diagram 003
Paxton's range of Compact Electronic Keypads do not have relays to trigger an electric strike or an electric lock, they use a transistor to switch on or off a lock supply. this has advantages of being very simple to use in simple wiring solutions, but can get complicated on larger more complicated access control features.
The 12 volt 1 amp power supply feeds power to the Paxton Compact keypad and it is the keypad that then powers the lock to unlock. The Paxton compact electronic keypad had the ability to allow the output to be reversed in it's programming.
