LocksOnline Wiring Diagram 009
This wiring diagram, can be quite popular if you have a side gate, or a garden gate to your house, where you want an external graded magnetic door lock where at the same time a push to release button to let yourself out from the gate and an Intercom, which, in this case is the Enterview 5 Video door entry system with an on board keypad.
The Enterview 5 with Keypad has voltage outputs which either applies or removes a + 12volt DC supply.
Because the External 500 Kg Holding force mag lock consumes a reasonable amount of power, we did not want to take the power from the Enterview 5 system as it can only power small mag locks and electric strikes.
We have fitted a timer circuit to this system so we can extend the time it takes from pressing the button to opening the door. This means, the push to release button can be a little further away from the gate and placed in a discrete location. This timer circuit can adjust up to approx. 60 seconds.
Because the Enterview 5 Video Door intercom system outputs a positive 12 volts and the timer relay requires a negative voltage to trigger, we have introduced a LocksOnline handy relay to interact between the Enterview 5 video Intercom and the timer relay so we can change polarity.
The power supplies to thee systems need to be connected to the main supply, please feel expert advise if needed.
