The Traffic was kind to us trying to get to EXCEL first thing in the morning to visit IFSEC 2016 (International Fire and Security Exhibition). Deciding to stay outside the city was a good choice. As always trying to find parking can be a struggle but parked up eventually we proceeded to IFSEC to see what is new in our industry.
Some of the more recognised brands dominated the skyline like Yale Home Living. Yale sees that security is part of home security in general and that the IOt (Internet of things) is definitely the way forward in the industry. We met up with Simons Voss Technologies to see their new Mobil Key system which allows the SV brand to be used in smaller establishments.
Moving on, Control Soft was sporting the new Biometric systems and we had a great chat about the security of biometrics and also how far it has come over the years.
GM Techtronics are launching a new Intruder Alarm system to sell into the market, so it would be great to see how that develops and of course, we had to meet up with the guys from AES. The Radio Intercom Experts.
A pleasant sight was to see Squire Padlocks there also, and we spent a little time popping a video together to show our viewers the exciting range of padlocks they have to show and even now supporting the 80mm CEN Grade 6 padlocks that can hold over 12 tonnes of weight. simply amazing.
Still looking at new and exciting products, from Fermax, Aiphone and Comelit, the tannoys were telling us the exhibition was closing, but there was still much more to see. In one respect perhaps we should have had two days to visit IFSEC this year, there was so much to see.
Have a look at the video on some short snippets of what we saw.
All had a fantastic day.
